Chuscales was born in Antequera, Spain in 1956 and grew up in the midst of one of the most well-known gypsy families in Granada. He started his career as a flamenco dancer, which has given him a tremendous command of the various flamenco rhythms. Early in his career, he switched to the guitar and since then has played extensively as a soloist and as an accompanist for some of Spain's top flamenco singers and dancers. Chuscales is one of the new generation of flamenco guitarists, following in the footsteps of Paco de Lucia, playing with an amazing technical ability and speed. He has toured extensively throughout North and South America, Asia, and both Eastern and Western Europe. He has accompanied Maria Benitez for many years and is presently performing as a solo concert guitarist. Brusco...
